OUR STORY

The House of Ayu was born from two very different worlds — one high in the Himalayas, the other in the warm heartbeat of a family home — yet united by a simple truth: wellness should feel pure, effortless, and rooted in wisdom that doesn’t age.
For Vrushali, the spark arrived on a Himalayan trek. Amid the ice, thin air, and silence, she noticed the locals — people who thrived in conditions that would exhaust most of us. No modern diets. No elaborate routines. Just wild herbs gathered from the land, used with understanding passed down through generations.

In that moment, she felt clarity settle in:

Nature already knows how to care for us. Modern life simply forgot how to listen. Returning home to a generation battling stress, poor sleep, fatigue, and digital overload, she felt compelled to build a bridge — a way to bring ancient herbal intelligence into modern routines with scientific precision.

Preeti brought the other half of the vision. She had always been the anchor of her home — the one making thoughtful choices about food, health, and balance. But she found herself frustrated. The market was full of products claiming to promote wellbeing, yet most felt artificial, incomplete, or disconnected from real life. In the middle of this everyday rhythm, she noticed something deeper — despite having access to countless products, genuinely trustworthy or easy to adopt products were missing. This realization sparked her journey. She decided to step beyond the role of a homemaker and build a bridge that makes ancient wisdom she grew up around- simple, stylish, and science-backed for the modern world.
Together, they imagined a new kind of wellness experience.

How It All Started?

Every brand has a beginning... but some beginnings are more personal than others. House of Ayu didn’t start with a product launch or a trend forecast. It started with lived experience, real questions, and the feeling that something about modern wellness wasn’t quite working. Before anything was created, there were people behind it: listening, learning, and asking better questions. This is where their story begins.

A lot of what I want to do came from not finding what I was looking for. In wellness, especially, everything felt rushed, performative, and slightly removed from real life. There was always an urgency to sell a solution, but not the patience to understand the root of a problem. That gap stayed with me for a long time, and eventually I stopped searching for an answer and decided to build one.

I value slowness and consistency. I believe good things don’t need to announce themselves loudly to be real or effective. I care about doing things properly, even if that means taking longer. I’d rather build something thoughtful and lasting than something fast and forgettable.

Building The House of Ayu has shaped how I think and work. I enjoy creating from the ground up -thinking through the bigger picture while also staying involved in execution. I like understanding how things function end to end: the product, the process, the people behind it. I’m comfortable handling operations and teams because I like being close to the work, not removed from it.

Outside of work, I’m grounded by animals, family, and the quieter rhythms of everyday life. That slower perspective shapes how I view success and leadership. I don’t see success as something to endlessly chase or optimise, but as something that should create real, long-term value, for people, for health, and for life as it’s actually lived.

The House of Ayu comes from that place. It’s rooted in Ayurveda and ancient wisdom, but not bound by blind tradition. The intention has always been balance- respecting what has endured for centuries while shaping it to fit modern, everyday lives. Depth over performance. Care over shortcuts.

A simple question—“Can I trust this?”—kept coming back every time I picked up a nutraceutical product for my family. The shelves were full, the claims were impressive, yet clarity was missing. Ingredients were hard to understand, sourcing was rarely disclosed, and promises often sounded better than explanations.

As someone responsible for my household’s daily well-being, guessing was not an option.

I began reading labels carefully, researching ingredients late at night, speaking with doctors, nutritionists, and suppliers, and testing products personally before allowing them into our home. What I discovered was clear: the market had abundance, but it lacked honesty and reassurance.

That realization led to the creation of The House of Ayu.
